Gabriel Zakaib is a documentary photographer based out of Washington D.C. and Virginia.

Zakaib's recent work explored life in Virginia's rural Northern Neck. As photographer for the Rappahannock Record, a small-town newspaper in Kilmarnock, Virginia, Zakaib spent two months documenting the characters, rituals, and events of the water-adorned peninsula, painting a picture of small-town America.

Zakaib has run his photography business shooting weddings, events and portraits in Charlottesville since 2016. His clients include Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and the Emily Couric Leadership Forum.
